UGLYCASH Launches a $20 Membership With Up to 6% Card Cashback
UGLYCASH's Ridiculously Exclusive membership costs $20 a month and lifts Ugly Visa cashback to 2%, 4% or 6% by trading volume, on the first $2,000 spent.
UGLYCASH has introduced a paid membership for its Ugly Visa card. Called Ridiculously Exclusive, it costs $20 a month and raises card cashback to as much as 6%, depending on how much you trade.
How the rate is set
Everyone, member or not, earns 1% on card purchases, paid weekly in Reserve Rights (RSR). For members, UGLYCASH works out the trading volume over each 30-day cycle and pays a top-up at the end of it:
- $1,000 or more traded: 2% in total
- $10,000 or more: 4%
- $20,000 or more: 6%
The top-up is paid even if you do not renew. Once you reach $2,000 of spending in a month, cashback goes back to 1% for the rest of that month. ATM withdrawals and cash-like transactions earn nothing.
What else the membership includes
Members get four free transactions every 30 days, in any mix of deposits and withdrawals to virtual accounts, Puntoxpress, Payvalida (El Salvador) and crypto withdrawals. UGLYCASH also says a metal card is in development, to be offered in limited numbers to members who reach the top cashback rate for two months.
The Ugly Visa is offered in the US and 15 Latin American countries, with no annual, monthly or card fee unless you join.

How does UGLYCASH's membership cashback work?
Every member earns 1% on card purchases, paid weekly. At the end of each 30-day cycle UGLYCASH adds a top-up based on your trading volume: 2% in total at $1,000 traded, 4% at $10,000 and 6% at $20,000. Cashback is paid in Reserve Rights (RSR).
Is the 6% cashback unlimited?
No. UGLYCASH says that once you reach $2,000 of spending in a month, you go back to 1% for the rest of the month. So the most the 6% rate can return is $120 a month, and it needs $20,000 of trading.
What does the UGLYCASH membership cost?
$20 a month. Besides the higher cashback it includes four free transactions per 30 days, counting deposits and withdrawals to virtual accounts, Puntoxpress, Payvalida and crypto withdrawals. The Ugly Visa card itself has no monthly fee.
