Some cards are issued as e-money products, others under a full banking license, in whichever country the issuer is regulated. This affects things like deposit protections and which local rules apply — worth checking per issuer, not assumed to be uniform.

Footprints change — issuers have paused or closed UK service before

Gemini closed its UK card in April 2026, and Nexo's UK-eligible card is currently virtual-only with physical orders paused since January 2025. Confirm current availability directly with the issuer before applying, not just from this page.
