Crypto.com Adds FX Fees to Ruby, Jade and Indigo Cards in Europe and the UK

From 1 October 2026, Crypto.com's Ruby, Jade and Indigo cards in Europe and the UK pay FX fees on foreign-currency spending. The inactivity fee rises too.

From 1 October 2026, three of Crypto.com's prepaid Visa card tiers in Europe and the UK start paying foreign transaction fees. Ruby Steel, Jade Green and Royal Indigo have paid no FX fee until now. From October they pay a small fee on foreign currency inside the EU and UK, and 2% outside it above a monthly allowance.

The new FX fees

These apply to non-EUR purchases and ATM withdrawals on European cards, and non-GBP ones on UK cards.

Until 30 September 2026: only Midnight Blue pays a fee, 0.2% within the EU and UK and 2% outside. Every other tier pays nothing.

From 1 October 2026:

  • Midnight Blue: unchanged. 0.2% within the EU and UK, 2% outside.
  • Ruby Steel: 0.2% within the EU and UK. Outside, the first €400 (UK: £400) each calendar month is free, then 2%.
  • Jade Green and Royal Indigo: 0.2% within the EU and UK. Outside, the first €800 (UK: £800) each calendar month is free, then 2%.
  • Icy White, Rose Gold and Obsidian: still no FX fee.

What it costs

For a Jade or Indigo cardholder in Germany:

  • €1,000 spent in Polish złoty (inside the EU): 0.2%, or €2
  • €1,000 spent in Swiss francs (outside the EU and UK): the first €800 is free and the remaining €200 costs 2%, or €4
  • €3,000 on a trip to the US: €800 free, then 2% on €2,200, or €44

Ruby's allowance outside the EU and UK is half that, €400 a month.

The inactivity fee rises too

Crypto.com charges a monthly inactivity fee once a card has gone 12 months with no activity you started yourself. It rises to €6 in Europe and £6 in the UK from 1 October 2026, up from €5 and £5. In the United States it rose to US$5.95 on 1 September 2026, from US$4.95.
