Exodus Launches Stablecoin Checkout as Its Card Reaches 42 Countries
Exodus launched Exodus Checkout with DIRECTV's DGO in Argentina on 1 October 2026. Its virtual card is now listed in 42 countries, with points rewards.
Exodus launched Exodus Checkout on 1 October 2026, a payments product that lets businesses accept dollar stablecoins directly. Its first merchant is DGO, DIRECTV's streaming platform in Latin America, where eligible customers in Argentina can now pay for a subscription from their wallet. Exodus plans to extend it to Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Ecuador.
It is the company's second step with DGO. Since 1 July 2026, customers in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Uruguay have been able to pay for DGO and SKY+ with the Exodus Card. Checkout takes the card out of that payment: the customer picks stablecoins at checkout and sends them from a wallet, as a one-off or a recurring payment.
Where the Exodus Card stands
Exodus's help centre, updated on 2 October 2026, lists the card as supported in 42 countries, among them the United States and Canada, 24 of the 27 EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, and in Latin America Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay. The full list is on our Exodus Card page.
How it works:
- Funding: the card spends your Exodus Pay balance, held in the dollar stablecoins XO Cash, USDC and USDT on Solana. Each purchase has to be covered by a single asset, because the card does not combine balances.
- Format: virtual only, added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. It has no PIN, there is no physical card and ATM withdrawals are not supported.
- Limits: $9,500 a day, or $15,000 a day in the United States
- Foreign currency: purchases are converted from US dollars at the card network's exchange rate
- Verification: required to use the card, deposit cash and earn rewards
One practical note from Exodus for Latin America: in Brazil and other parts of Latin America, international and prepaid cards can only be processed as credit, so ask the merchant to select credit if a debit payment fails.
If you used the older Exodus Spend Card in the mobile wallet, Exodus says it has to be migrated to Exodus Pay to keep working.
Exodus Rewards: points, for some users so far
Exodus is also moving its rewards to a points programme, Exodus Rewards, which it says is "available to select users and will expand over time". Users without access keep earning under the earlier rewards feature.
- 1 point for every $1 spent on the card
- 1 point for every $1 swapped in Exodus Swap on mobile
- 1 point a day for every $100 of Cash held in Exodus Pay
- A one-off welcome bonus of 1 point for each day your wallet has been active
Points are redeemed for Cash in the Exodus Pay balance, from a minimum of 10,000 points, or 4,000 in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay, with a monthly redemption limit. Joining moves your USDC and USDT on Solana into Cash, and Exodus notes that points are not interest or yield.
Exodus does not publish what a point is worth, so we cannot express this as a cashback percentage.
Why Latin America
Exodus's argument is that dollar stablecoins are already everyday money in parts of the region. Its July announcement said stablecoins made up more than half of exchange purchases made with Argentine pesos, Brazilian reais and Colombian pesos between July 2024 and June 2025. Other companies are making the same bet: MoneyGram launched a stablecoin card in Colombia in September.
For cardholders, the direct effect of Checkout is small for now. It is one merchant in one country, and it pays from a wallet rather than a card.

Common questions
What is Exodus Checkout?
A merchant payments product from Exodus, launched on 1 October 2026, that lets a business accept dollar stablecoins sent directly from a customer's wallet, for one-off or recurring payments. It started with DGO streaming subscriptions in Argentina.
Which countries support the Exodus Card?
Exodus's help centre listed 42 on 2 October 2026: the United States, Canada, 24 EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Andorra, Gibraltar, Jersey, the Isle of Man, Niger, and Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay.
Does the Exodus Card pay cashback?
Under Exodus Rewards it earns 1 point per $1 spent, for users who have access to the programme. Points convert to Cash from 10,000 points, or 4,000 in five Latin American countries. Exodus has not published what a point is worth, so a cashback percentage cannot be stated.
