WhiteBIT's Nóva EUR Card Is Still Frozen, and the New USD Card Is a Different Product

WhiteBIT suspended its Nóva EUR card on 30 June 2026 until its EU platform launches. Its Nóva USD card is separate, with its own fees and countries.

WhiteBIT's Nóva EUR card has been suspended since 30 June 2026, and it was still frozen when we checked on 3 October 2026. WhiteBIT says the card will work again once its European platform, WhiteBIT Europe, launches at whitebit.eu, which currently shows a "Coming Soon" page. In the meantime it has launched a Nóva USD card, which it describes as a different product and not a replacement.

A correction of our own: our WhiteBIT Nóva page did not show the suspension until 3 October 2026. It does now, and the card is no longer offered in our card finder.

Why the EUR card is frozen

WhiteBIT's notice ties the suspension to the EU's MiCA rules. It says the company is "updating its card infrastructure and preparing to launch WhiteBIT Europe", and that the EUR card is expected to move to that platform. Its EU entity, WB-Shield Innovations GmbH, announced a MiCA authorisation from Austria's Financial Market Authority on 19 June 2026 and said it was preparing to launch whitebit.eu. No launch date has been published.

For cardholders, the notice says:

  • The card remains in your account and the card account is not closed, but every card operation is unavailable, and you cannot restore it yourself
  • Trading, fiat transfers and other services on whitebit.com are not affected
  • Accumulated cashback can still be withdrawn
  • Open disputes continue under the normal procedure and do not need to be filed again
  • WhiteBIT plans to keep already issued cards usable after the move, including physical cards and their numbers

What happens when WhiteBIT Europe launches

  • You register on WhiteBIT Europe and verify your identity there. An option to transfer the card then appears.
  • For EU users, WhiteBIT expects a six-month transition period to start at launch. During it the card can be used again on whitebit.com, and it has to be moved to WhiteBIT Europe before the period ends.
  • On WhiteBIT Europe the EUR card will be open to citizens and residents of the EEA, and to Ukrainian citizens with a verified address in Europe or Ukraine.
  • People on the waiting list stay on it.

WhiteBIT says it will announce the launch date, the start of the transition period and the migration steps separately.

The Nóva USD card is not the same card

WhiteBIT's notice answers the question directly: "USD Card and WhiteBIT Nova EUR Card are different card products." The details below come from its USD card help pages, and none of them apply to the EUR card.

  • Format: a virtual-only Visa debit card in US dollars, issued with JSC Hash Bank, with Apple Pay and Google Pay and no waiting list
  • Fees: no opening, monthly or inactivity fee, but 1.5% plus $0.20 on each transaction and a 1.5% conversion fee
  • Cashback: in three categories that you choose and can change every seven days, capped at $25 a month and withdrawable from 5 USDC. New users get 5% back on their first transaction. WhiteBIT says category rates change, so check them in the app.
  • Limits: $40,000 a day and $200,000 a month. ATM withdrawals are not available yet.
  • Where: WhiteBIT's overview and FAQ list 132 countries and territories, with no EU or EEA member state among them. An older eligibility page also lists EEA countries, so the check inside the app is the one to rely on.

One piece of arithmetic of our own: the per-transaction fee matters more than the cashback for everyday spending. On $1,500 a month across 30 purchases it comes to about $28.50, which is more than the $25 monthly cashback cap.

We do not yet have a page for the Nóva USD card. If we add one, it will be a separate listing rather than an update to the EUR card's page.

Common questions

Can I use my WhiteBIT Nóva EUR card right now?

No. WhiteBIT suspended the card on 30 June 2026 and it was still frozen when we checked on 3 October 2026. It stays in your account but cannot make transactions until WhiteBIT Europe launches. Cashback already earned can still be withdrawn.

Does the Nóva USD card replace the Nóva EUR card?

No. WhiteBIT says they are different card products. The USD card is a new virtual Visa card with its own verification level, fees and country list, and it is not a migration of the EUR card.

What does the WhiteBIT Nóva USD card cost to use?

Opening and holding it is free, but WhiteBIT lists a fee of 1.5% plus $0.20 on each transaction and a 1.5% conversion fee. Cashback is capped at $25 a month.
