Tangem Pay
Tangem Pay is a US dollar Visa card inside the Tangem Wallet app, topped up with USDC or USDT and held in a smart-contract account you control. The free Basic plan pays 1% cashback in USDC, up to $100 a month; Plus costs $29.99 a month and pays 2%, up to $300. Purchases in other currencies cost 1.5% over Visa's rate from 15 October 2026, and cash from ATMs costs 2% to 4%. It is provided by Paera and issued by Rain, and is offered in 40 countries and 30 US states, but not in the UK or Europe.
Is the Tangem Pay worth it?
The Tangem Pay is a secured credit card on Visa, paying up to 2% back on spend. Whether it suits you comes down to the trade-offs below.
GOOD FIT IF
- you want up to 2% back on everyday spending
- you don't want to stake or lock up a token to earn the rate
- you want your crypto to stay in your own wallet until you spend it
- you want to start spending the day you sign up
THINK TWICE IF
- a fixed cost is a dealbreaker — the annual fee is Free (Basic); $29.99/month (Plus)

Earning Up to 2%
The headline rate is usually the top of a band, not a flat rate on everything. In practice most spending earns the base rate, and the higher figure applies to selected merchants, campaigns or staking tiers.
Up to 2%, paid in USDC. No staking required for the base rate.
- 1% on Basic, up to $100 a month, and 2% on Plus, up to $300 a month.
- Paid in USDC on Polygon into your Tangem Pay balance between the 2nd and 5th of the following month, on purchases completed by the end of the month.
- Refunds reduce the month's total.
- Tangem advertises 4% on a Prestige plan that is not yet available.

Fees you'll actually meet
How much you can spend
Published by the issuer and set per country. Figures are in each market's own currency.
You can set a lower daily limit yourself in the app. The card balance is capped at $10,000 on Basic and $50,000 on Plus, and you can load up to $100,000 a day. Tangem says limits may vary with your verification level and account history.
How much cash you can take out
Each period caps both the number of withdrawals and their total value — you reach whichever comes first. One set of limits applies wherever the card is available.
Up to $250 per withdrawal at contactless ATMs. Tangem has not published separate limits for the plastic card.
