Gnosis Pay Winds Down Its Own Card App: What Changes on 30 September

Gnosis Pay stops new card signups and new cards on 30 September, ends GNO cashback the same day, and moves cardholders to partner apps by the end of 2026.

Gnosis Pay is winding down its own consumer card and app. From 30 September 2026 it stops new card signups, stops issuing new cards on existing accounts and ends its GNO cashback programme. Its web app and card will close by the end of 2026, with cardholders moving to partner apps.

Gnosis Pay says it is not shutting down. Since 2025 it has focused on running card programmes for other wallets, fintechs and neobanks, and cards will now be issued "under the hood" of those partners' apps instead of its own.

Key dates

  • 4 September 2026: new signups through the Gnosis Pay web app closed
  • 9 September 2026: Rebind's welcome offer for web app users closed
  • 30 September 2026: GNO cashback ends, new Gnosis Pay card signups stop, and no new cards are issued on existing accounts
  • By the end of 2026: the web app at app.gnosispay.com closes, and the Gnosis Pay card winds up in favour of partner cards. The web app's withdraw function stays open afterwards.
  • Dates vary: each partner app moves to Gnosis Pay's new platform on its own timeline and will tell its users directly

What you need to do

It depends on how you use the card:

  • Gnosis Pay web app users need to move to a partner app. Your Gnosis Pay account and IBAN move with you, your card is unchanged for now, and there are no new ID checks.
  • Zeal users: Zeal hasn't confirmed its plans, so Gnosis Pay advises moving to a partner app.
  • MiniPay users are already on the new platform.
  • Gnosis App and other partner users don't need to do anything yet; the partner will send updates.

Gnosis Pay recommends moving early, so you have both apps for a while rather than switching with no fallback when your card stops working.

Which partner, by card currency

  • EUR card: Rebind is the option available now. It will be the first partner live on the new platform on Gnosis Chain, the chain your account already uses, and it has built migration flows for web app and Zeal users.
  • GBP card: no current partner supports GBP on Gnosis Chain yet. MiniPay offers UK cards using USDC and USDT on the Celo network, but that needs a fresh account; your current one can't be moved.
  • USD card: partners are still finalising their plans, and Gnosis Pay says it is confident there will be options.

What happens to your card

Physical cards keep working, and moving to a partner app now doesn't change that. When your partner moves to the new platform and you accept the move, your Gnosis Pay card stops working and the partner issues its own card, along with a new card Safe address, which may mean repointing your IBAN.

Partner cards will be virtual at first, with physical cards possible later at each partner's discretion. Gnosis Pay says the new platform brings instant reversals, instant withdrawals, better privacy and better card controls.

The end of GNO cashback

The GNO cashback programme ends on 30 September at every partner. Until then it pays up to 4% in GNO, plus 1% more with an OG NFT, based on how much GNO you hold, on weekly spend of up to $1,250. Any cashback after that is up to each partner app. Gnosis App's separate gCRC cashback has already ended.

If you are choosing a card now

New Gnosis Pay card signups close on 30 September, so if you want a self-custody card, look at the partner apps and other self-custodial cards instead. Rebind is the direct route for EUR cardholders. Solid, which now covers every EU and EEA state, and the MetaMask Card are other self-custody options. Our self-custody cards page compares them all.

Common questions

Is Gnosis Pay shutting down?

No. Gnosis Pay is closing its own consumer app and card, but it keeps running card programmes for partner wallets and fintechs. Cardholders are asked to move to a partner app, which will issue its own card once it moves to Gnosis Pay's new platform.

Will my Gnosis Pay card stop working on 30 September?

No. 30 September is when new signups and new cards on existing accounts stop, and when GNO cashback ends. Existing cards keep working until you move with a partner to the new platform, and Gnosis Pay says its own card winds up by the end of 2026.

Do I keep my IBAN and do I need new ID checks?

Moving to a partner app keeps your Gnosis Pay account, IBAN and card, and needs no new ID checks. When your partner later moves to the new platform, you get a new partner card and a new card Safe address, which may mean repointing your IBAN.
