It spends from a dedicated Krak balance across 600+ fiat and crypto assets, with cashback of 0.5% to 2% set by your combined Krak, Kraken and Kraken Pro balance. There are no monthly, annual or transaction fees; a variable spread applies when crypto is sold to pay. The UK/EEA card is a Mastercard issued by Monavate with no FX fee. The US card is a Visa issued by Lead Bank with a 1% fee on foreign purchases, and is not offered in New York, Maine, Massachusetts or Indiana. Identity verification is required.

How we rate the Krak
- Cost25%5.0 / 5
No card, monthly or FX fee, and Kraken charges nothing for ATM withdrawals — only the machine's operator might. This describes the UK/EEA card; the US card adds a 1% fee on foreign purchases.
- Conditions25%4.0 / 5
The rate is set by your combined Kraken balance rather than a stake or lock-up: £1,000/€1,000 reaches 1%, and the money stays yours to withdraw.
- Rewards25%3.0 / 5
1% in Bitcoin or local currency at a realistic balance. The 2% headline needs £50,000/€50,000 held, and the rate is credited on settlement rather than monthly.
- Reliability25%4.5 / 5
Kraken has one of the longest records in the industry, publishes its tier thresholds openly, and the card's data was re-checked this month.
Four criteria, each worth 25%, scored by us against the issuer's published terms — the total above is their average, not a separate judgement. Scored September 16, 2026. Read the full scoring model. No issuer can pay to change a score.
The card at a glance
Earning Up to 2%
The headline rate is usually the top of a band, not a flat rate on everything. In practice most spending earns the base rate, and the higher figure applies to selected merchants, campaigns or staking tiers.
Up to 2%, paid in Bitcoin or local fiat (your choice). No staking required for the base rate.
Balance-based, up to 2%, paid in Bitcoin or your local currency (GBP, EUR or USD); credited on settlement, usually within 24 hours; excludes ATM withdrawals, refunds, transfers and purchases under £0.49, €0.49 or $0.49
